Cat in the Window/ Winter

A cold wintery day outside doesn't bother our feline friend, sitting inside, cosy and warm without a care in the world. This design combines raw edge applique and a "shattered glass" technique that helps make the applique "puzzle" pieces fit together easily. The black cat is reverse appliqued, layered on top in the final stages for a dramatic finishing touch. Free motion machine stitching is used to stitch the intricate shapes such as the snowflakes.
